The standard flow of the English Language goes in the way that the first letter of a sentence or after any FULL STOP , starts with a capital letter.The auto capitalization function helps us by saving us from using the SHIFT KEY to type the first capital letter or it saves us from taking care if the first letter is capital or not.But there can be situations where this automatic capitalization creates problems for us an we’d like to stop this automatic action.

Follow the steps to stop the auto capitalization in Google DocsIf the letters are auto capitalizing , go to TOOLS MENU and choose PREFERENCES.The PREFERENCES SETTINGS WINDOW will open.

Deselect the first option AUTOMATICALLY CAPITALIZE WORDS by clicking on it.IT IS A TOGGLE FUNCTION. IF IT IS SELECTED AND YOU CLICK IT, IT'LL BE DESELECTED AND VICE VERSA.As we deselect the option click OK.We are done.Let us try the capitalization again.

AUTO CAPITALIZATION DISABLED
We can see that after disabling the preference option for AUTO CAPITALIZING WORDS, the letters are not converting the case to UPPER and are in the same case as we typed.
