Pictures Show Lindsay Lohan Boyfriend Russian Fiance, Who Is Egor Tarabasov

Lindsay Lohan, fire god of the 2000s, is dating a Russian heir. We found out about this a couple weeks ago, and it was big news. Because he’s only 22 years old, and he’s a Russian heir who lives in London, not exactly the kind of guy you expected Lindsay Lohan to end up with. I mean, he’s not that off the mark, I guess, but didn’t most of us see Lohan going a more “nightclub owner from Redondo Beach” direction? Or, if she were going to go Euro, some sort of Greek “movie producer” who runs a “dating service” in Antibes?

That just seems more like where Lindsay Lohan was headed, but nope! We were wrong. She’s ended up with the 22-year-old scion of a Russian magnate. Though, this morning Page Six has cleared its throat and done a little “actually . . . ” in the form of an item clarifying that Lohan’s Russian fella, named Egor Tarabasov, isn’t exactly stinking rich himself. Not yet, anyway.

See, he has a day job working in real estate and is set up with some kind of trust fund, but it has not kicked in. While a source tells Page Six that Tarabasov has “a generous allowance,” he hasn’t assumed the full vast and wonderful weight of his family’s riches just yet. And even when he does, those riches aren’t on the level of some Russian fortunes you read about. Says Page Six’s source about Tarabasov’s father, “ a wealthy man who owns a construction firm and a couple of stores similar to Home Depot in the Moscow region, but he is no oligarch.” So, let’s not go nuts thinking Lindsay Lohan is flying helicopters to yachts and then flying those yachts to super-helicopters and then flying the super-helicopters up to one of those Avengers floating-aircraft-carrier things, which are real and hover over the French Riviera all spring and summer. That’s not happening. Not yet, anyway.

All that’s happening, really, is that Lindsay Lohan is living in London and dating a guy who works in real estate. Same as any Oxbridge grad, really. Which is nice. This all seems, after so many years of the opposite, relatively normal. It’s still glamorous and wild to be an American in London, dating the Russian heir to a minor retail and construction fortune. Don’t get me wrong. But, this romantic situation is more low-key than Lohan once seemed destined for. It could easily have been a crooked stockbroker with a penthouse apartment in New Rochelle, is what I’m saying. Or, heaven forbid, an Albanian gangster who keeps kidnapping an ex-C.I.A. man’s family members. Things could be a whole lot worse. Which, by Lohan standards, is doing pretty well.
