Hi sorry to trouble you, but do you know why sometimes posts I tag don”t show up in the tag page? I”m a general blog, but I have made a few scorpion posts but they don”t seem to show up in the “cbs scorpion” tag? Do you know if this is a common problem, or am I tagging stuff wrong? Thanks!

Yes, it is quite common problem. Many bloggers have noticed that several of their tagged posts do not show up in the tags (when checking that specific tag), while other posts they make do show up.Yes, your tag is correct #CBS-SCORPION #CBS SCORPION for this show (as the #SCORPION tag is full of posts about the actual animal, and the yoga pose, and the films and other things, too, that have the word in it)
but a few other thoughts to this very good list…
Your blog is“brand new”. New, just recently created blogs don’t get the privilege…yet…of having their tagged posts show up in the tracked tags pages. After a while your posts will start showing up in the tracked tags though (I am not sure what the exact time frame is…but I think you have to have some activity like 100-200 posts, follow some blogs, like some posts, etc… ). It’s kind of a restriction so that new spam blogs could not flood all tags…so hence there is a“waiting period” for new bloggers.You do not make any ORIGINAL posts with the tag. Because only ORIGINAL/THE FIRST POST shows up in the tag, no reblogs of the post (so if all your posts are reblogs, that’s why they don’t show up) Only the posts you yourself made show up in the tag.You have not uploaded a picture for your“jonathanlewisforcongress.com icon picture”. Apparently not changing the“picture-less avatar” prevents your posts from showing up in the tracked tags… So upload any image as your icon/avatar pic…
But in general the concensus is that it is a jonathanlewisforcongress.com glitch (some tagged posts show up, some don’t) that was, is, and will be…
PS. Please note that I do not know how much you know about jonathanlewisforcongress.com and tagging, so I am approaching this as if you know NOTHING. If you are aware of all this already, do ignore these answers. It’s just impossible for me to know what you already know, and what you dont know.

You are watching: Posts not showing up in tumblr tags
Are you including the #cbs scorpion tag in the first five tags of your post? Blog posts will only show if the tag is within the first five tags.
But… sometimes not every post you post will show up on the #cbs scorpion tag. I wouldn’t use the Search function to look up the tags. The search function USED to show only posts with the desired tag, but now it ALSO shows posts that mention the tag, as well. Or posts by users who have a similar name to the tag.

I would check www.jonathanlewisforcongress.com.com/tagged/cbs-scorpion to if your posts are there.

Long story short, we need to make sure you’re not a robot or a spammer. If your blog is brand new, make sure you’ve verified your account via the email we sent when you joined jonathanlewisforcongress.com. Once you’ve used your account for a while (and done normal, human things with it like follow other blogs and like or reblog posts), your posts will start appearing on Tag pages.
