The 2016 AMAs will broadcast live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles tonight (Sunday, Nov. 20) at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. The ceremony, hosted by model Gigi Hadid and comedian Jay Pharoah, will also be available for live streaming through ABC.com and the network's official app.
Red carpet coverage starts at 6 p.m. on the E! network and can also be streamed on the AMAs website's Coca-Cola Red Carpet LIVE!

Drake is nominated for 13 American Music Awards this year, breaking the previous record of 11 nominations in a single year when Michael Jackson released “Thriller” more than three decades ago. Rihanna got seven nominations and Adele and Justin Bieber tied with five each, while Beyonce and The Chainsmokers each received four nominations.

AMA nominees are selected by a mix of album and digital singles sales, radio airplay, streaming, social activity and touring, according to Billboard, Nielsen and Next Big Sound. Fans can also vote for their favorites on Twitter and the American Music Awards website.
