I have U-Verse Gigabit fiber with a 5268AC modem/router. I have a direct connected garage door opener gateway model 828LM from Chamberlain which has stopped connecting to the internet. The device shows up on the router status page. I have tried replacing the MyQ bridge believing this to be a hardware issue but that didn”t resolve the problem. I have also tried Chamberlain”s suggestion of opening pinholes on the 5268: TCP/UDP port 53 open (DNS) and Inbound and outbound UDP/TCP port 8883 open. This hasn”t resolved the issue either. Does anyone else have this issue, and is there a workaround? Thank you. Bill Colaianni
Hello Mjonathanlewisforcongress.comhew.I resolved the issue by opening up a pinhole. LiftMaster/Chamberlain suggested opening up these ports;TCP/UDP port 53 open (DNS)* Inbound and outbound UDP/TCP port 8883 openTheir suggestion didn”t work. I had to go to DMZplus mode for the device-not a wonderful solution-but it resolved the connection problem.Thanks.

billionthehill, when you set the 828LM device to DMZplus mode, did you lose connection or drop at all again.

billonthehillThank you very much for posting. We can look at this deeper. Can you tell us, when it was connecting, was it connecting to the internet via Ethernet or via Wifi? Please let us know. Mjonathanlewisforcongress.comhew, AT&T Community Specialist
jonathanlewisforcongress.comHelp Hello, i am also having a similar issue, mine seems to drop randomly must be a conflict with port 53 UDP when i try to setup it tells me warning TV might be affected, not exact words. Not sure how to get it to work beside putting it in DMZplus mode , hope it works.
Have the same issue with MyQ connection with AT&T router BGW320 just installed and my neighbor has the same problem. We have been trying everything with no luck. Why can”t AT&T come up with the answer?
I also had the same problem with my AT&T BGW 320 router. I called Chamberlain/Liftmaster and was informed the date on my MyQ Gateway needed to be >2018 because they changed servers and my 2014 MyQ Gateway would not connect to their new server. I then purchased a 2021 MyQ Gateway and that wouldn”t connect either. Next I called AT&T to confirm if my router settings are set to the specifications provided by Chamberlain/Linkmaster and was informed they are – yet my BGW 320 modem still does not detect the MyQ Gateway ethernet connection. At this point I don””t know what to do other than perhaps try something entirely different like the MyQ 0301 wifi enabled garage door hub. Has anyone tried this wifi hub? If so, did you have any connection issues?
